Senior Manager, Business Insights & Analytics

Leveraging advanced analytical approaches, the Senior Manager of Business Insights & Analytics works with the Vice President of Business Insights & AI Enablement to execute strategic learning priorities for the Bojangles system.

The Senior Manager will analyze and mine multiple data sources using a variety of analytical techniques to uncover insights that identify opportunities for Bojangles to grow sales and market share profitably. Key areas of focus will include, but are not limited to, Promotional Effectiveness, Marketing and Advertising Effectiveness, Digital Sales Performance and KPIs, New Store and Market Performance, and Forecasting.

The Senior Manager will also partner closely with key cross-functional teams across Marketing, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Digital, Menu, and Development to translate key learnings into business actions and evaluate the effectiveness of those actions. The Senior Manager will provide analytical guidance and support to other Business Insights & AI Enablement team members, help coordinate priorities and project work, and contribute to their growth and development.

Job Duties

• Lead and execute advanced analytics to identify key opportunities aligned with organizational goals and business needs. Examples include, but are not limited to, measuring and reporting on Promotional Effectiveness, Market and Menu Tests, Digital Sales Performance and drivers, New Store Opening performance, and Forecasting.
• Coach and provide analytical guidance to other Business Insights team members, helping align priorities, strengthen project plans, and ensure high-quality output that positively impacts the business.
• Partner with Marketing, Menu, Digital, Development, Operations, and other teams to identify growth opportunities and business needs. Create and lead analytical plans and tools that inform decision making, including, but not limited to, market-level deep dives, digital promotion tracking and ROI, and new store performance tracking.
• Guide and collaborate with external vendors to use third-party data in decision making. Examples include, but are not limited to, market share and customer segment analytics, competitive price analysis, and sales performance benchmarking.
• Collaborate with Vice President of Business Insights & AI Enablement and other team members to provide data and analysis for key company presentations, including weekly sales updates, franchisee calls, and Board meetings.
• Leverage data analytics software / languages (SQL, Python, Power BI, etc.) and AI tools to enhance data and reporting automation routines and improve analytical efficiency.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years in data analytics / business insights role, including meaningful experience leading key initiatives & projects independently.
• Hands-on working knowledge of data analytics software (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.) and coding languages (SQL, Python, etc.)
• A track record of measurable business outcomes from insights / data analytics initiatives and support.
• Experience managing priorities & timelines with external supplier partners.
• Strong communication, including translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

• Restaurant, retail, or multi-unit consumer business experience.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools (major LLM platforms, agents, prompt design, workflow automation)
