This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting firmware that directly interfaces with hardware and enables reliable operation of connected field devices. The successful candidate will have extensive experience developing production firmware in C/C++, building and customizing embedded Linux distributions using Yocto, and troubleshooting complex hardware/software interactions. You'll work closely with hardware, cloud, mobile, quality engineering, and product teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that support Comcast's field operations and customer experience. This position requires strong embedded systems expertise, a hands-on approach to development and debugging, and the ability to drive technical solutions from concept through deployment and long-term support.This role is based in our downtown Philadelphia Comcast Technology Center. Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
