Registered Nurse (RN) Breast Medical Oncology

Job Description Inova Schar Cancer Institute’s Fairfax location is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the team in our breast cancer clinic. This role will be full‑time day shift from Monday to Friday. Our clinic is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No weekends, no holidays, no call. Sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance are available for qualified external applicants. This nurse will travel to our Inova Fair Oaks location on Mondays to support their provider’s patient case‑load. Role Overview The Registered Nurse provides knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination. The role involves delivering safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way, incorporating differences into the provision of care, and conducting all patient care in a patient/family‑centered manner. The RN integrates knowledge, skills and experience to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, including patient and family education. The RN communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others, respecting other clinical disciplines. The RN determines processes for the delivery of care from direct patient/family communication, technology and collaboration with other healthcare team members. Minimum Qualifications A minimum of 1 year of registered nurse clinical experience. Education: BSN or ADN – if ADN, complete BSN within 5 years of start date. BLS for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required. RN licensed and eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills and a caring demeanor toward others. Proficient computer skills required.
