Veterinary Referral Coordinator

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is looking for an experienced Full-Time Weekend Specialty Referral Coordinator to join our team in Northeast Portland, OR! Pay: $24 - $28 / hour Pay is dependent on experience. Shift Details: Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 8am - 6:30pm Shift differentials offered for Saturday and Sunday! A Referral Coordinator ensures the effective, client focused, management of all referrals for the assigned service(s). As a Veterinary Referral Coordinator, you will serve as the primary point of contact for referred clients managing their referral from originating appointment through close of case. As a BluePearl Veterinary Referral Coordinator You schedule new appointments for the assigned specialty ensuring DVM(s) have record of new appointments. You resolve any case-related concerns prior to appointment. You maintain assigned specialty service(s) email and follows departmental email triage procedures. You gather pertinent information to ensure client understands financial obligations. You act as primary point of contact for clients and potential clients in their assigned specialty service(s). You perform post-procedural and post-surgical phone call follow up with clients. You receive, process and fill prescription requests, with DVM approval, for assigned specialty services(s) You work with primary DVMs regarding requests and routine questions. You provide primary care DVMs bloodwork/test results to keep them informed regarding referred clients. You ensure necessary communication regarding treatment is provided timely and documented appropriately. You provide support to clinical staff in order to facilitate the administrative components of clinical referrals for various services. Why BluePearl? Our passion is pets.
