General Manager | Fast-Casual Bakery & Café 

Haddonfield, NJ

A new fast-casual bakery and café concept opening in Haddonfield is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the launch, build the team, and establish strong operational systems from the ground up.

This role requires a hands-on operator with proven new restaurant opening experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create structure in a start-up environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, guest-focused, and comfortable building systems, training teams, and driving early-stage sales and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of new restaurant opening, including pre-opening setup, hiring, and training

• Build and develop FOH and BOH teams from scratch, including management and hourly staff

• Create and implement SOPs for service, operations, and guest experience

• Oversee daily operations including scheduling, labor control, and service execution

• Drive early sales growth through community engagement, local marketing, and guest outreach

• Manage P&L, budgeting, labor, and food cost targets from day one

• Coordinate vendor relationships, inventory systems, and opening supply needs

• Ensure consistent product quality, speed of service, and guest satisfaction

• Establish company culture, training programs, and leadership standards

• Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations

Qualifications:

• 3–5+ years of restaurant general management experience

• Strong new restaurant opening experience required

• Proven ability to build and lead teams in a fast-paced, startup environment

• Strong financial acumen including P&L management and cost controls

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt quickly in an evolving concept

• Flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
