First-Line Supervisors Of Parlor And Herd Health
Responsible for serving as first-line supervisor of milking parlor and herd health department for commercial dairy operation. Specific duties include: (1) Supervising herd health department, including diagnosing and treating sick cows, dry off, hoof trimming, pregnancy checks, breeding, calving, fresh cows, and vaccinations; (2) Supervising milk parlor including hiring, training, and scheduling operators; enforcing sanitation protocols; ensuring proper cow handling for maximum production; monitoring milk quality; and maintaining parlor equipment.
Requirements: Two years of dairy industry supervisory or management experience.
