This role is based in a basic Med Surg unit where the nurse will work independently, providing both routine and complex care. Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitor for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• BLS certification via AHA required
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
