Data Engineer Expert

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer Expert in Oakland, CA.

Overview:
The contractor will support the design, development, and deployment of data-driven applications that streamline business processes, improve asset management capabilities, and enable operational insights for Substation Systems & Tools and related business functions. The ideal candidate will have experience building data applications using Python and Streamlit, working with Snowflake data platforms, and developing data pipelines that integrate information from multiple enterprise systems.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5 years of Python development experience
* 2+ years of Streamlit application development
* Snowflake development experience
* Experience designing, developing, and deploying data-driven applications
* Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems
* SQL and database design concepts
* ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development
* Data engineering best practices, data quality controls, and data integration patterns
* REST APIs and external data sources
* Git, version control, and CI/CD practices
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills

Nice to Have:
* Snowpark
* Airflow, orchestration tools, or automated deployment pipelines
* Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
* SAP, SharePoint, or enterprise asset management applications
* Asset Management, Utility Operations, Engineering, or Energy industry experience
* Power BI, Plotly, Pandas, and data visualization
* Data governance, master data management, and application security

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
