This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse in Cardiac Telemetry Med-Surg based in Gainesville, FL. The hospital is a 523-bed, full-service acute care center certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, accredited by the Joint Commission, and recognized as an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology (ACC), with Blue Distinction Center designations for Spine Surgery and Bariatric Surgery.

The role. Working collaboratively with physicians and the broader care team, the RN conducts thorough patient assessments at admission and throughout each shift, identifying and escalating changes in condition promptly. The nurse carries out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring while maintaining accurate, timely documentation in the patient's medical record. Medication administration is a core responsibility, including monitoring for therapeutic response and intervening appropriately if an unintended reaction occurs. The role also involves educating patients, families, and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care — translating complex clinical information into language that supports genuine understanding.

What we're looking for.

• Must have 1 year of recent (within the last 2 years) Acute Care RN experience
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule. Days and nights available, both with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $29.73 - $43.20/hr
