Maximo Technical Specialist

Our leading Federal systems integrator partner is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist – IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) to serve as the Data & Integration Lead supporting an enterprise-level IBM Maximo Proof of Concept (PoC) for a Department of War (DoW) client. This role will lead data integration, workflow design, and system architecture activities within a large-scale Maximo environment. The ideal candidate has deep experience integrating Maximo with building control systems, HVAC platforms, and IoT data sources, and is comfortable operating in a federal systems integrator environment supporting enterprise asset management initiatives. Key Responsibilities Serve as the Data Integration Lead for an enterprise IBM Maximo (MAS) deployment and federal PoC effort. Define integration patterns, data flows, and technical standards for Maximo-related interfaces. Provide technical oversight and guidance to junior Maximo developers focused on configuration and change management activities. Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest and transform data from external systems into Maximo. Integrate building control systems, HVAC platforms, and facilities data sources with Maximo. Design and support ingestion of IoT sensor data (e.g., temperature, runtime, energy, alarms) to enable condition-based and predictive maintenance use cases. Develop and consume RESTful APIs to enable system-to-system integration. Utilize Python for data transformation, integration logic, automation, and tool development. Design, configure, and optimize Maximo workflows to support asset lifecycle management, maintenance, and operational processes. Support enterprise-level Maximo configuration and change management activities in collaboration with junior developers. Contribute to Proof of Concept (PoC) activities, including solution validation, demonstrations, and transition planning. Support defect resolution, data quality troubleshooting, and performance tuning within the Maximo environment. Federal & Enterprise Environment Collaboration Work closely with system integrators, client stakeholders, facilities teams, and data owners in a federal environment. Ensure solutions align with federal standards, security requirements, and enterprise architecture guidelines. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in data integration, software development, or enterprise systems engineering. Hands‑on experience with IBM Maximo / Maximo Application Suite (MAS) in enterprise environments. Strong experience with ETL tools, data pipelines, and structured/unstructured data sources. Proven experience integrating building control systems and HVAC data into enterprise platforms. Experience working with IoT data and sensor-driven systems. Strong proficiency with REST APIs and system integrations. Proficiency in Python for data processing and integration use cases. Experience designing and implementing workflow-driven solutions in Maximo or similar platforms. Experience supporting or leading Proof of Concept (PoC) or pilot implementations. This role requires a Security Clearance, candidates who are U.S. Citizens who possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance are highly preferred. Candidates with active Clearances are strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in federal government or DoD-aligned environments. Familiarity with enterprise asset management, facilities operations, or energy management use cases.
