Senior Seeker Radar Systems EngineerCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) program area is working on several new development efforts for the Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC-3) RF seeker and is looking for a Senior Seeker Radar Engineer to support these efforts! This position is located at the Boeing Jetplex facility in Huntsville, Alabama.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) PAC-3 program is an air-defense, missile system designed to intercept tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and advanced aircraft where Boeing is the original engineering manufacturer of the seeker. Boeing’s RADAR seekers provide target data to the PAC-3 missile which enables it to acquire, intercept and destroy threats using hit-to-kill technology. The PAC-3 Seeker team is a cross functional, highly skilled, motivated group embracing the beliefs that focused safety, execution, LEAN manufacturing and business practices will secure our future, all while driving our product to be the seeker of choice for the PAC-3 program and future generations of weapon systems.Position Responsibilities:Provide subject matter expertise in support of algorithm development for radar signal processing techniques such as Kalman filtering, probabilistic and statistical modeling, and measurement processing from pulsed-Doppler waveformsDesign of algorithms that process signal returns into discriminated targets and track targets through mission timelineDefine system performance requirements and ensure interface definition supports various functional components of the seeker’s and missile’s architectureConduct analysis to optimize total system-of-systems performance and/or system architecture as applied to algorithmic functionality pertaining to the acquisition and tracking of targetsConduct analysis on seeker simulation data to identify areas of improvement and guide recommendations for system robustness in the presence of challenging operational environmentsReview and modify the application of general digital signal processing techniques to the processing of reradiated signal content to ensure accurate signal characteristic identificationSupport the tactical implementation of algorithm designs into Ada or C++ softwareThis position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
