Job Description

Join our Fear Free Certified team at Furever Family Veterinary Care Center as a Veterinary Technician in East Moline, IL. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians by delivering high-quality care to our animal patients and ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary services.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
Perform laboratory tests, collect samples, and analyze results
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed
Monitor and record patient vital signs and progress
Maintain clean and organized workspaces, treatment areas, and equipment
Educate pet owners on preventive care, medication administration, and general animal health
Handle animal restraint and care with patience and professionalism

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program or equivalent work experience
Certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician (preferred)
Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Compassion for animals and commitment to high standards of animal care
Physical ability to handle animals and perform duties in a fast-paced environment
