Overview

Our organization is in search of a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens position within a well-established cardiovascular program located in Tennessee.

• Assignment focused solely on call duties

• In-house coverage required

• Work in an inpatient environment

• Join a reputable cardiac surgery program

• Utilize Cerner EMR system

• Travel and accommodation support provided

• Temporary privileges can be arranged

The selected candidate will be part of a comprehensive cardiothoracic and vascular surgery team and should be proficient in:

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)

• Valve repair and replacement procedures

• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)

• Thoracic surgical interventions

• Carotid endarterectomy

• Various vascular surgeries

• Management of post-operative cardiac patients

• Coverage for ICU and cardiac stepdown units

• Board-Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery

• Possession of a Tennessee medical license or eligibility for IMLC

• Fellowship training is preferred

• Current ACLS certification is mandatory

• Coverage is set to commence in November 2026

• Inpatient call coverage responsibilities

• Expected daily patient volume of approximately 10-15
