Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery in San Luis Obispo, CA. This travel assignment begins July 13, 2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Shifts are 3×12-hour nights (36 hours per week) with a weekly pay range of $2,501 to $2,652. You will work in an inpatient labor and delivery unit within an acute-care setting, providing direct patient care to mothers and newborns and coordinating with the care team to support safe, evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities
- Assess maternal and fetal status, monitor labor progress, and respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications, manage pain relief options, and assist with labor and delivery procedures
- Provide continuous fetal monitoring, interpret findings, and escalate concerns per protocol
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families, support discharge planning, and promote a safe and healing environment
- Delegate appropriately, coordinate care delivery, and document care accurately in the medical record

Requirements

- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in an inpatient labor and delivery setting
- Must be able to work in the San Luis Obispo, CA area
