Overview
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date: 07/13/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,516-$2,603 per week. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12). Setting: hospital-level patient care as a travel temporary assignment. Responsibilities
- Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation; analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
- Develops a care plan with prescribed interventions to attain outcomes; implements the plan and coordinates care delivery.
- Promotes a safe, healing, humane environment; evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes and identifies future needs.
- Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare team to provide care; delivers learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members.
- Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team; participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members; maintains accountability for the nursing process.
- Takes on nurse lead responsibilities as part of the shift, providing mentorship and coordinating unit activities as assigned.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Licensure verification will be completed during the hiring process; active RN licensure is required to practice as a nurse.
- Experience as a Registered Nurse with leadership experience in labor and delivery (nurse lead/charge responsibilities) preferred.
- Vaccinations required as a condition of employment; exemptions may apply.
- E-Verify participation is required.
- Ability to work a nights schedule in a hospital setting and provide safe, patient-centered care in an L&D environment.
