Certifications required: TNCC, ACLS, NIH, MOAB, and BLS

Preferred skills: ENPC and trauma experience

Patient ratios for non-critical cases are 3:1. During call-outs, ratios may reach 4:1. Critical patients require a 2:1 ratio. Boarders in the Emergency Department are 5:1.

Shifts are 12 hours from 18:45 to 07:15. Weekends are required every other week.

The patient population consists of adults, with diagnoses including STEMI, stroke, and Level 2 trauma patients. The unit sees approximately 170 visits per day with 53 rooms and beds. Charting is completed in the Epic system. All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting. Candidates must be flexible and open to floating within or near the facility. Travel pairs are allowed, provided they are on different units and disclosed. References may be pending at the time of submission. All pre-start modules are non-billable and must be completed prior to start. Module time should be accounted for separately from orientation. Modules must be conducted online, using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as the browser.
