Part‑Time (8‑hours) Dentist – MCI‑Shirley, Shirley, MA VitalCore Health Strategies leadership in correctional health care is seeking a qualified dentist to provide comprehensive dental services to incarcerated patients. This is a part‑time position (8 hours per week) with a competitive benefits package. Essential Functions Perform and interpret radiographic examinations. Provide emergency treatment, oral surgery, restorative dentistry, periodontal therapy, and extractions within scope of a general dentist. Address significant oral problems that may adversely impact inmate health. Make appropriate referrals for procedures that cannot be performed on the facility. Report unusual occurrences or accidents to the site or Regional Medical Director; attend required training and meetings. Minimum Requirements Current DEA number. Active license in the state of Massachusetts. Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding). Supportive team member with teamwork and leadership skills. Ability to make independent decisions when warranted. Diplomatic with personnel, families, visitors, government agencies, and general public. Non‑threatening to health and safety of others in workplace.
