Production Supervisor

Join a well-established, employee-owned food manufacturer as a hands-on Production Supervisor supporting a large-scale production operation in Lake Katrine, NY. This role is responsible for leading production teams, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity while spending the majority of each shift on the production floor coaching employees and supporting daily operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily production operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety standards are consistently met
• Lead, coach, train, and develop production employees while fostering collaboration and accountability
• Maintain a strong floor presence by spending approximately 90% of the shift supporting production and stepping in when needed
• Monitor production flow, dough processing, baking operations, and equipment performance to maintain consistency and throughput
• Communicate effectively across departments and shifts to ensure production goals are achieved
• Maintain accurate production, inventory, and downtime records
• Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements
• Coach and develop team members through on-the-job training, regular feedback, and performance coaching

Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience within manufacturing, production, bakery, or food manufacturing environments preferred
• Experience leading, training, coaching, and motivating production teams in a hands-on environment
• Strong understanding of production flow, operational efficiency, quality standards, and workplace safety
• Comfortable working around industrial equipment, including ovens, mixers, and automated production machinery
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to stand and walk throughout an 810-hour shift and safely lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Preferred: Food manufacturing or bakery production experience
• Experience working in GMP-regulated environments
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing experience
