About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years of pediatric PACU/Pre-Op experience required. License: Valid RN license required. Certifications: BSN, BLS, PALS required. Must-Have: - Ability to float to other facilities. - Previous charge experience preferred. - Trauma level II experience required. - Experience in a pediatric facility is essential. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Pediatric PACU. The role involves caring for neonates, infants, and pediatric patients in a recovery setting. The nurse will be responsible for airway assessment, emergency medication management, and monitoring patients post-anesthesia. Knowledge of charting systems, specifically Epic, is required. Experience in managing pediatric patients through various types of surgeries, including orthopedic and ENT procedures, is essential. The nurse will also participate in interdisciplinary support and will need to adapt to various patient diagnoses. Floating to other departments within the facility may be required. Candidates must have prior experience in a trauma level facility, preferably level I or II. Successful applicants will demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with healthcare teams. The position requires a proactive approach to patient care and safety. All candidates must be prepared to provide two references from their most recent employment.
