This role involves performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, contributing to patient diagnosis and treatment planning. This is a per-diem, as-needed position, offering flexibility. While the current assignment is structured for 3 days per week, weekly shifts are not guaranteed beyond the specified contract terms. Key Responsibilities Perform a full range of nuclear medicine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with established protocols. Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately, adhering to radiation safety guidelines. Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality. Position patients correctly for imaging, ensuring comfort and safety throughout procedures. Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to any changes in their condition. Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure details, radiopharmaceutical dosages, and patient history. Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Ability to work effectively in an acute care environment. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in an acute care setting. Skills & Competencies Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, specifically EPIC. Strong clinical skills in nuclear medicine imaging and radiopharmaceutical administration. Excellent patient positioning and radiation safety practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Shift Details Shift Duration: 8 hours per shift. Shift Type: AM shifts. Days per Week: Variable, with potential for shifts any day of the week (7 days/week). The current assignment is for 3 days per week. Contract Length: 13 weeks. Call Requirements: Not specified. Weekend Rotations: Not specified. Licensing Requirements Current and unrestricted Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in the State of California.
