Occupational Therapist, OT - Per Diem / PRN

Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Per Diem Occupational Therapist, OT to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. In this flexible role, you will work closely with patients to assess their needs and develop individualized treatment plans that enhance their daily living skills and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients’ occupational therapy needs and goals.

• Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the rehabilitation team, focusing on improving patients’ functional abilities and independence.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Administer a variety of therapeutic techniques, including exercises, adaptive strategies, and assistive devices, to facilitate recovery and enhance daily living skills.
• Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, home exercise programs, and strategies to promote recovery and independence.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with physical therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety and infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

• Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying schedules.
