Board Certified – Physician – Hospitalist – Pediatric

Job Details:

• Join a team of 2.5 full-time pediatric hospitalists and 2.5 pediatric intensivists in a highly regarded community hospital setting in southeast Idaho
• Serve a diverse patient population across a large catchment area spanning multiple states and regions within a 10-bed pediatric unit
• 24-hour coverage with an out-of-house shift model
• Care for medical patients on the pediatric unit, consult on pediatric patients in the emergency department, consult on surgical patients, and care for newborn infants not requiring NICU-level care
• Collaborate with sister Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City for transfer outs and highly acute cases
• Work alongside pediatric intensivists, neonatologists, pediatric neurologists, endocrinologists, cardiologists, surgeons, and anesthesiologists
• Benefit from additional support staff including child life specialists, pediatric nutritionists, and physical therapists
• Engage with an active family medicine residency program with residents rotating through inpatient pediatric and newborn care services
• Opportunity for faculty appointment with the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine
• Growth opportunities available in quality and process improvement projects and clinical research within a unique patient population
• Board Certified in Pediatrics required; Board Certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine preferred but not required
