This role will support one of the program areas within the space portfolio and other exciting new business pursuits within the product line. This role will be an integral part of the business teams, supporting strategic solutions, and providing dynamic recommendations for proposal, negotiation, and execution issues. We are offering a Sign-On Bonus for this role!What You Will DoWork closely with the Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Business/Estimating, and Supply Chain to manage successful execution of contractsProvide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as mitigation of contractual / program risksPerform as key contributor during the pre-proposal strategy, proposal development, negotiation, and execution phases of programs to include the preparation of bids and other contract management such as compliance with company policies, legal requirements and customer specificationsAnalyze Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and Broad Agency Announcements (BAA)Work closely within cross-functional teams to construct, submit, and negotiate Terms and Conditions and pricing proposalsNegotiate and execute contractsSupport program management and execution reviewsWork independently in a fast-paced / multitask environmentDevelop effective partnerships with customers and internal teamsQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experienceMinimum 5 years experience specifically with contractsExperience with US Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and / or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)Qualifications We PreferExperience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Incentive Fee (FPIF), Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) and Cost-Plus Award Fee (CPAF) Contract types.Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with customers and internal partners based on understanding, teamwork, and trustProfessional, effective written, and verbal communication skills to interface with all levels of internal and external customers; thorough analytical skills; excellent interpersonal skills; be adaptable to a variety of business situationsExperience working in an exciting environment and ability to multi-task across multiple programs and demonstrated record of responsiveness with excellent time management and organization skillsWhat We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
