Job Title Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Location Charlotte, NC | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 18:45-07:15 | Minimum 13-week contracts available Key Responsibilities Provide intrapartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum care for obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater in a high-volume, fast-paced birthing unit averaging 20 births and 30-40 admissions per 24-hour period Manage double labor assignments, which are a daily occurrence on this unit Perform sterile vaginal exams and provide immediate newborn care Circulate in the OR for scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births and rescue cervical cerclage procedures Conduct obstetrical triage screening, antenatal fetal surveillance, intravenous hydration, and medication administration Float as needed to a high-risk Special Maternity Care OB unit Required Qualifications Active NC or Compact RN license (pending license acceptable for submission) Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience; 3 years strongly preferred given unit acuity Must have experience in a high-volume setting with greater than 300 births per month Required certifications: BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Proficiency with PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR documentation systems Local candidates are welcome; a local rate differential applies for candidates within 50 miles of the facility Preferred Experience / Skills Experience circulating in an OR setting within a Labor and Delivery environment Background in high-risk antepartum and postpartum patient populations Prior experience in a large, high-volume hospital setting comparable to this unit's acuity First-time travelers accepted provided they have experience in a similarly high-volume environment Why Join Us Work in a dynamic, high-acuity Labor and Delivery environment that offers significant clinical exposure including triage, high-risk OB, and OR circulating experience Scrubs are provided on unit, and a structured 24-hour orientation is included to support your transition onto the floor About Concentric Healthcare Staffing Founded and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Concentric Healthcare Staffing specializes in healthcare employment with an emphasis in nursing and allied health.
