Job TitleJoins, fabricates and repairs metal and other weld able material by applying appropriate welding techniques.Typical Working ConditionsMany of the job responsibilities will be conducted in exterior and interior areas of the operation. Exterior activities will be carried out in year-round weather conditions. Interior work will be conducted on stage and back stage environments, including smoking areas. The inclusion of those duties would not alter the overall evaluation of this occupation.Minimum QualificationsAbility to communicate with supervisor Ability to follow directions Familiar with a variety of welding concepts, practices and procedures Experience in using a variety of welding processes Ability to interpret, understand and perform tasks utilizing blueprints Ability to make rational and effective decisions on the job Ability to diagnose and resolve problems Proficient in two or more welding processes ASW certification, STICK, HELI-ARC, MIG Friendly and courteous personality Able to work under minimal supervision Required Education:Requires high school diploma or its equivalent Completed an apprenticeship and/or formal training in weldingRequired Experience: At least 6 years of experience in welding Alternative to Minimum Qualifications: NonePhysical Requirements/Work Environment: Please refer to Support Data Sheet for position
