Field Director, Medical Science Liaisons - Central Region US - Obesity and Related Conditions

Amgen seeks a Field Director to lead and manage Medical Science Liaisons across the Central US region covering obesity and related conditions. The role involves developing medical strategy, coaching regional MSL teams, ensuring compliance, and driving clinical engagement with healthcare providers and decision-makers.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and develop regional MSL team while ensuring alignment with corporate goals and compliance standards
- Partner with medical leadership to develop field medical strategy, tactics, and Scientific Engagement Plans with measurable outcomes
- Guide MSL team in scientific engagement with opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and population health decision makers
- Elevate field medical insights to refine strategy and collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders
- Represent MSL team to senior leadership and ensure coordinated collaboration between field medical and commercial teams
Requirements
- Doctorate degree plus 4 years Medical Affairs experience, or Master's degree plus 8 years, or Bachelor's degree plus 10 years
- 4 years managerial experience directly managing people or leading teams and projects
- Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. degree preferred
- 7+ years industry experience in Scientific or Medical Affairs at biotech or pharmaceutical company
- 3+ years as medical science liaison in biotech or pharmaceutical setting
- Experience in clinical practice, clinical research, or medically related postdoctoral training
