Sr. HR Generalist

Position Summary The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in supporting a dynamic manufacturing environment by delivering strategic and operational HR expertise across multiple functional areas. This role encompasses talent acquisition, HRIS administration, health and wellness benefits, policy and procedure development, training and development, employee relations, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, a passion for manufacturing HR, and the ability to influence and support leadership. Primary Responsibilities Acts as strategic business partner to functional leaders of management, coaching, career development, disciplinary actions and labor relations. Manages the talent acquisition process internally and externally. Participates in employee onboarding and conducting new hire orientation. Oversees and manages talent management processes including performance management, succession planning and top talent identification. Leads training of the performance management process. Manages the HRIS system, including accurate payroll records and data entry. Counsels potential, current and previous employees on health and well‑being benefits, compensation and corporate programs. Administers various human resource plans and procedures, assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and related documents as needed. Investigates, documents and makes recommendations to effectively resolve employee relations, ethics or compliance issues, using judgment consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures or government law. Coordinates job bidding for all positions open in the plant, if applicable. Includes interviewing, selection and job offers. Administers and tracks leaves of absence and attendance. Ensures employee records are in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Organizes employee engagement activities and wellness program initiatives. Conducts exit interviews and manages related off‑boarding procedures for departing employees. Administers unemployment inquiry and workers compensation claims. Conducts training and administers performance management for all employees. Responsible for labor relations including grievances, assisting with contract interpretation, assisting with contract negotiations, and provides daily coaching for managers. Manages Visa/PERM process for internal employees and new hires. Assists with affirmative action planning and all required updates, reporting and documentation, ensuring all federal and state requirements are met. Complies with policies and procedures pertaining to the location, corporate, and customer standards such as TS16949 and ISO14001. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations; ensures federal and state posters are current and posted in locations. Might, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description. Education and Qualifications BS/BA Degree required, preferably in Human Resources Management, Business, Organizational Communication, or Industrial Psychology. Minimum of 3 years of Human Resource experience, preferably with a manufacturing environment. In‑depth knowledge of Human Resources, policy interpretations and legal requirements. High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information. Exercises judgment based on multiple sources of information. Proficient in MS Office, HRIS and other software programs. Strong written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail and data accuracy. Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary. Ability to work split shifts, as necessary. Mobility and willingness to relocate are strongly preferred and important for future growth opportunities within the organization. Work Environment/Work Conditions Professional office setting with regular interaction on the manufacturing floor. Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor. Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations as needed. Equipment use requires proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
