Research Associate: Protein Purification & Biochemical Assays

Chicago , IL Direct Hire May 21, 2026 A growing biotechnology company is seeking a Research Associate to join their team. This role offers a hands‑on, fast‑paced laboratory environment with opportunities to contribute to drug development projects. Responsibilities Protein characterization, expression, and purification. Maintain detailed experimental records. Assist with assay development or optimization (e.g., ELISA, binding assays, etc.). Support team members with sample preparation, data collection, and basic data analysis. Maintain lab organization, equipment, and adherence to safety and quality guidelines. Qualifications B.S. or M.S. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field Hands‑on laboratory experience with protein purification, cell culture, molecular cloning, PCR/qPCR, and biochemical assays. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort working in a collaborative research environment.
