2nd Shift Mechanical Assembler

Schedule: Monday Thursday, 4:30 PM 3:30 AM

Pay: $2023/hr + 10% shift differential ($22$25.30/hr)

Location: Mesa, AZ (near Mesa Gateway Airport)

Job Overview

• Perform advanced mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies on a production line
• Work in a fast-paced, modern, climate-controlled manufacturing environment
• Focus on quality, safety, and continuous process improvement
• Support team collaboration and production goals during second shift

Key Responsibilities

• Execute complex mechanical assembly tasks with precision
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly and product functionality issues
• Train and mentor junior assemblers on processes and safety standards
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
• Identify and recommend process improvements using lean manufacturing principles
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams
• Perform quality inspections and functional testing
• Maintain inventory of parts and materials
• Assist with setup and operation of automated/semi-automated equipment
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Support production deadlines, including potential overtime

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of assembly or manufacturing experience
• Experience with mechanical assembly (small and large components)
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents and drawings
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Second shift role; initial training on first shift
• Mandatory Friday overtime may be required
• Air-conditioned, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Ability to lift/move up to 35 lbs
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and ladder use
• Requires good manual dexterity and coordination
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production environment

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
