Field Maintenance Specialist –Richmond, VA (Traveling Role)

AGC Heat Transfer, the leading manufacturer of sanitary plate heat exchangers in North America, is seeking a Field Maintenance Specialist to support customers across the U.S. We are looking for a skilled, customer‑driven Field Maintenance Specialist based in Richmond, VA . If you thrive on solving problems, traveling, and being the expert customers rely on, this role puts you at the center of the action. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy hands‑on work, travel, and direct customer interaction.

• Perform Plate Check™ and tubular heat exchanger inspections

• Execute repairs, troubleshooting, and installation supervision

• Conduct on‑site customer training

• Travel >15 days/month (including some weekends)

• Maintain detailed plant folders, documentation, and follow‑up communication

• Collaborate with AGC Sales Engineers on upcoming service needs

• Submit accurate service reports within 48 hours

• Mentor new technicians as needed

• Prior experience as a traveling technician

• High school diploma or GED

• Strong mechanical aptitude and tool experience

• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills

• Proficiency with Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Maintenance background

• Dairy/food manufacturing experience

• Plate heat exchanger knowledge

• Military service

• $30–$32/hour + bonus potential
