Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Seeking a experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will manage a variety of obstetric cases, including high-risk patients, and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to obstetric patients, including high-risk and antepartum cases.
• Perform full patient assessments and document findings accurately within Meditech and GE systems.
• Collaborate with physicians, including hospitalists or intensivists, to coordinate patient care.
• Administer medications such as Mag and assist with C-sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Educate patients and families, ensuring high-quality customer service.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and unit-specific procedures during shifts.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current state licensure required.
• Minimum of 2 years recent labor and delivery experience, with high-risk obstetric background preferred.
• Certification in ACLS and NRP required; RN-C certification preferred.
• Proven ability to handle fast-paced, high-volume obstetric environment.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to perform exams independently.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
