SHIFT: Day and Night Shifts Available | Day 7a-7p and Nights 7p-7:15am

• Work alongside physicians, midwives, anesthesia, NICU, and other clinical specialists.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Provide exceptional nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
• Perform comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments.
• Monitor fetal heart rate patterns, maternal status, and labor progression.
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including high-risk cases.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and treatments according to established protocols.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in maternal or fetal condition and obstetric emergencies.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Provide education, emotional support, and guidance to patients and families.
• Promote patient safety, breastfeeding, newborn bonding, and positive birth experiences.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Take on Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed.

 

Job Requirements:

• BSN required; MSN accepted.
• 1+ year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required.
• Experience with high-risk obstetrics preferred.
• Strong maternal and fetal assessment skills
• Excellent clinical judgment and critical-thinking abilities
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to evidence-based nursing and professional growth

 

Required Credentials

• Active New York State RN License
• BLS – American Heart Association

 

Additional Certifications May Include

• NRP
• ACLS
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• AWHONN fetal monitoring education/certification
• Other specialty-specific certifications
