May provide direct assistance, review progress, and evaluate results; makes changes in methods or project design where necessary. Knowledge, skills, and abilities to independently conduct primary assigned tasks such as operating instruments (e.g., GC, GC/MS, GC/HRMS, HPLC, ICP/AES, ICP/MS) to analyze organic and/or inorganic compounds, data review, or conducting laboratory support activities as well as a sufficiently broad knowledge and versatility to lead SOP/method development and support additional assigned tasks as needed.
