About the Role:

The Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN Nights at Morgan Medical Center plays a critical role in delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. This position involves assessing, treating, and monitoring patients to improve their respiratory function and overall health outcomes. Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and mechanical ventilation management.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment, ensuring proper function and safety standards.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
• Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and provide critical care support as needed.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes accurately in medical records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with respiratory care best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• State licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Minimum of an associate degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Experience working in an acute care hospital setting.
