Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to communicate findings, clarify orders, and ensure all preoperative requirements are met. Educate patients and their families about the pre-admission process, procedural expectations, and post-procedure care instructions. Document all assessments, test results, and patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record system. Identify and escalate any patient safety concerns or contraindications to the appropriate healthcare providers promptly. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection control protocols. Minimum Qualifications Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment. Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 1 year clinical nursing experience, preferably in pre-admission testing, perioperative, or ambulatory care settings. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Advanced certifications such as Certified Ambulatory Peri anesthesia Nurse (CAPA) or Certified Preoperative Nurse (CPN). Experience working in a hospital pre-admission testing or surgical services department. Knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and protocols.
