CNA - Shawnee Mission, KS
Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is looking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team today and help us continue our mission to positively impact the lives of children and communities across the nation!

CNA RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide basic care for students when they are injured ill, and manage chronic conditions.
- Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as hygiene and proper nutrition.
- Work with school staff to ensure the physical and emotional safety of the school community
- Follow plans created by RN to monitor for signs of hypoglycemia.
- If signs are noted, conduct a finger stick blood glucose check.
- Treat with orange juice via g-tube if indicated in nursing plan and medical orders.
- If student has a g-tube feeding going while on the bus, monitor the pump for kinks, occlusions, or other issues and troubleshoot as outlined in nursing plan.
- Monitor for signs of seizure activity. If student has a seizure, follow nursing plan and medical orders for student safety, timing of the seizure, and give sublingual medication if indicated.
- The person will work as student's aide on the bus and work with the school nurse.
