Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Ensure the utmost comfort and safety of patients during examinations, explaining each procedure with empathy and transparency
• Collaborate efficiently with radiologists and referring physicians to produce outstanding diagnostic images
• Operate and oversee imaging equipment, promptly reporting any technical issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures within the electronic medical records system
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound imaging technologies and professional practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
