Senior Accountant

DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in Washington, DC.Key Responsibilities:* Support the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies* Assist with audit preparation by compiling schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to audit requests* Provide accounting support during an ERP implementation, including parallel testing, validation of financial data, and process improvements* Support grant accounting activities, including reconciliation of restricted funds and compliance with applicable accounting standards* Collaborate with accounting leadership to improve workflows and reduce manual processes* Assist with financial reporting and other ad hoc accounting projects as neededRequirements* At least 1 year of direct Workday experience* Been through a couple of closes at different organizations* Ability to get their hands dirty to close the booksJob TypeContractCompensation40 - $50
