Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate

Job Description

This full-time, permanent Shipping and Receiving Associate role supports a busy industrial branch in Kenner, LA. You will handle incoming and outgoing materials, operate warehouse equipment, and maintain accurate inventory and documentation. The position is ideal for someone with warehouse experience who enjoys a hands-on role, working with forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify all incoming and outgoing transactions to ensure accuracy of orders, quantities, and documentation.
• Receive materials from vendors into the business system and maintain related records in an organized and timely manner.
• Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Perform inventory management tasks, including regular cycle counts and stock verification.
• Use RF scanning equipment to scan incoming items, track inventory, and update system records.
• Wrap pallets securely and retrieve inventory from designated storage locations as part of daily operations.
• Handle general shipping and receiving duties, including staging, labeling, and preparing orders for dispatch.
• Maintain and order department office supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Process invoices for payment, ensuring accurate information and timely submission.
• Apply strong attention to detail to confirm correct items and quantities are prepared and shipped to customers.
• Provide customer service support as needed, ensuring professional and courteous communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sulphur, LA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Sulphur,LA.
