Driver Helper

Great news! Schillings is currently looking for a Driver Helper at our Saint John, IN location. We offer competitive pay along with a full package of benefits and opportunities for advancement. This position will be full-time with no nights or Sundays. Responsibilities: Duties include doing daily vehicle and equipment inspections, informing Logistics Manager of any required maintenance to truck, forklifts, or other related equipment Keep equipment clean and in orderly fashion Load trucks according to list of materials on sales order Organize and secure each load, and will physically help drivers unload materials to customer satisfaction Communicate with Logistics Manager to ensure all task are complete Follow all company policies and procedures Education/Required Skills: Maintain a valid driver's license Regularly lift/carry/move up to 50lbs. and may have to occasionally lift up to 80lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, climb, carry, and walk throughout Yard/Warehouses Safely operate all equipment Could include sweeper, skid steer, order picker ranging from 8-30 feet in the air, forklift, pickup trucks (with and without snowplow), flatbeds, box trucks, vans, and SUVs.
