Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program required
• Current and active New Mexico physical therapist license
• School-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a dynamic school setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to students, fostering their development and participation in educational activities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Evaluate students to determine therapy needs and develop effective treatment plans
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, following state and district guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to support student progress
• Educate staff and families about strategies and accommodations to support student needs throughout the school day
• Adjust interventions based on student progress and provide ongoing communication to all stakeholders
