Job Type: Full Time

Shift: 9:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday)

Position Summary

The Sales Counselor plays an integral role in customer’s first impression experience to make Denton Village their home. The role will provide customer service and clerical support to the Independent Livining Manager with varied clerical duties and related tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Welcomes new potential residents and visitors. 

2. Maintain calendars, spreadsheets, brochures, notices and flyers

3. Answers telephones; screens calls, forwards calls and /or records and forwards messages accurately

4. Monitor and maintain office equipment

6. Responsible for maintaining a professional and kempt appearance of Independent Living office

8. Types forms, form letters and other documents as needed, collates and photocopies materials as necessary

9. Manage office supply orders and maintenance of office supplies

10. Maintains customer confidentiality in conformance with facility confidentiality policy

11. Receive calls and emails requesting information and tours of independent living

12. Keep referral system always updated (Welcome Home program)

13. Conduct knowledgeable tours of our community

14. Actively communicate with prospective residents on a regular basis to increase census

15. Be active in our community when required and maintain positive relationships with the residents of our senior community.

Work Environment

This job operates in a post-acute setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the facility.

This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. Team members are expected to adhere to facility’s no-smoking policy.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very

active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift

and/or move items over 20 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a position in a post-acute setting that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Monday through Friday. Occasional Weekend tours.

HIPAA

Team members are required to adhere to policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for privacy

and security of protected health information. Team members are permitted to use and/or disclose only minimum

amount of Protected Health Information necessary to complete assigned tasks. Reports all suspected violation of

company’s HIPAA policies or procedures to facility CEO.

2. Strong computer and Microsoft Application skills. Must have an ability to learn new systems

5. Proficient in the English language. Excellent communication (verbal and written), customer service and interpersonal skills

6. Must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

Required Education/Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent

1 year experience in a sales assistant, customer service, or similar role

Preferred Education/Experience

A minimum one (1) year experience in a sales, property management, customer service or similar role

Previous housing experience

Experience working with people 55+

Excel, Word, Canva, Microsoft and other program experience
