QC Chemist II

Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, is seeking a QC Chemist II to join their team. As a QC Chemist II, you will be part of the Quality Control department supporting laboratory operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title QC Chemist II Location South Portland, ME Pay Range $40/hr on w2 Responsibilities Support raw material, in-process material, and finished product lot release activities through analytical testing. Perform routine analysis using approved test methods in a timely manner to meet project deadlines. Maintain current status on all training requirements and support training activities for laboratory personnel. Follow GMP requirements with respect to laboratory operations, testing, results documentation, and reporting. Recognize and investigate OOS, OOT, and exception events, initiating investigations under supervision. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and work experience in a related field. 2‑5 years of relevant experience with a solid understanding of analytical testing and GMP environments. Proficiency in English language communication skills. Experience with molecular PCR testing is highly desired. Ability to prioritize tasks and exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices.
