ACT Clinical Director

Prestige Healthcare Resources Inc.

Job Title

The ACT Clinical Director is responsible for the overall clinical and administrative leadership of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program.

This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, recovery-oriented, person-centered mental health services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness in community settings. The Clinical Director oversees interdisciplinary team operations, supervises clinical staff, ensures compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements, and promotes evidence-based practices to improve client outcomes. Must have NP (Nurse Practitioner) or LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) license to be accepted on the role.

Program Leadership & Oversight

  • Provide overall leadership, coordination, and direction for the ACT team to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies, procedures, and program goals consistent with ACT standards and agency mission.
  • Lead daily team meetings and ensure appropriate case assignments, service coordination, and crisis response.

Clinical Supervision

  • Provide direct clinical supervision to licensed and unlicensed staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and ethical guidelines.
  • Conduct regular individual and group supervision, reviewing clinical documentation and treatment planning.
  • Foster staff professional growth through training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

Service Delivery & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the ACT team and clients.
  • Ensure services are recovery-focused, culturally competent, and trauma-informed.
  • Monitor program outcomes, client satisfaction, and compliance with state, local, and federal requirements.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community providers, hospitals, housing agencies, and other service systems.
  • Represent the ACT program at community meetings, trainings, and conferences.
  • Advocate for client needs and the ACT model at local and state levels.

Administrative Duties

  • Manage program budget, staffing schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of clinical documentation, data entry, and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in program audits, site visits, and accreditation processes.
  • Provides on-call duty for after-hour staff access and for staff supervision and consultation. Help staff with crisis situations. Ensure that the ACT Team has coverage during scheduled and unscheduled working hours.
  • This person reviews and approves consumer note documentation in EHR system.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters' Degree required.
  • Licensed Mental Health Clinician in the District of Columbia (LICSW or LCPC).
  • Two years in a supervisory role, four years preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Outlook and other standard software applications.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.A.

Education & Licensure

  • Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required.
  • Independent clinical licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist) in good standing.

Experience

  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in mental health services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Experience working with adults with serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and/or in community-based settings.
  • Familiarity with the ACT model, evidence-based practices, and crisis intervention.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and Microsoft Office Suite.
