Below, you’ll find other important information about this position.Supervises and coordinates activities and employees of applicable ambulatory office.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:****EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:**1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.**EXPERIENCE:**1. Three years of health care experience.2. Two years in a management/supervisory position.**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:****EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:**1. Current licensure for practice nursing in state of ambulatory office (West Virginia, Pennsylvania or Maryland) or licensure for practical nursing in another state with a temporary practice permit in state of ambulatory office;**OR** Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program.**CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Supervises and coordinates activities related to patient care activities within the ambulatory office.2. Provides daily supervision to staff to ensure prompt and courteous service to patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers.3. Monitors daily operations to help ensure adherence to documented administrative and departmental policies and procedures.4. Provides coaching and counseling to staff based upon performance management principals.5. Identifies on-going continuing education needs of employees.6. Keeps staff informed of processes, policies and other changes thorough continuous communication.7. Gathers statistics, completes reports and performs other duties as scheduled or requested.8. Communicates status of daily operations to Manager or Director as well as communicate problems hindering workflow to Manager or Director in a timely manner.9. Handles patient/family or staff complaints, investigates complaint and makes recommendations on appropriate resolution.10. Efficiently and assertively coordinates resolution of problems with other departments as monitored by Manager or Director.11. Organizes and executes daily tasks in appropriate priority to achieve optimal productivity, accountability and efficiency.12. Maintains functional knowledge of operational areas and is able to step into staffing as needed.13. Ensures that patient satisfaction is being met and reported to Manager or Director any issues.14. Assists with annual budget process.15. In coordination with Manager, selects, hires, manages and evaluates the effectiveness of employees on a continuous basis.16. May perform duties in applicable licensure (LPN or Certified Medical Assistant) as necessary.**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
