Summary/Objective: Under the leadership of the President/CEO, the Clinical Placement Coordinator will guide and support students in assigned clinical areas to ensure that the clinical placement meets the requirements of the education program and the College. Additionally, this individual will secure clinical locations for the College presently and in the future.
Essential Functions:
- Communicate via email, phone, and/or in-person with nurse educators and /or placement coordinators in hospitals and clinics to develop clinical placements.
- Coordinate with Program Directors to determine the number of student placements needed for each semester.
- Identify facility requirements at each clinical placement location, such as orientation and electronic health records (EHR) training, and communicate these clinical entry requirements to faculty and student groups promptly.
- Keep a record of these facility requirements, updating them as required when the facility changes its expectations.
- Confirm placements with nurse educators and /or placement coordinators in hospitals and clinics institutions by timely follow-up communications.
- Creation of Adjuncts Coordinator Schedule for payroll processing.
- Communicate confirmed or changed clinical placement agreements with Program Directors.
- Onboarding of all students at agreed-upon facilities.
- Shall attend new student orientations for both AAS and GBS Programs.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Salary Range
$70,000 - $72,000

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, in which the college is open. As this is an exempt position. Due to the nature of the responsibilities, you may be required to work a flexible schedule, as necessary.
RequirementsRequired Education and Experience
- Masters Degree Preferred
- RN or LNP Required
- NYS Nursing License
- Extensive contacts within NYC medical facilities
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and types of nursing.
- Knowledge of basic hospital organization and hospital/clinic systems.
- Excellent computer-based organizational skills.
- Excellent public relations skills using proper etiquette both electronic and interpersonally.
- Able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple coordinators/nurses at many institutions.
- Able to communicate, professionally, calmly, and clearly with people expressing frustration.
- Able to keep updated records and attention to details despite much change.
- Able to create and improve systems for the organization of many variables (e.g., maintain accurate and detailed reports and records).
- Able to remain flexible and effectively perform the job during unexpected situations or changing conditions.
- Able to show a high level of dedication by following through with commitment, reliably and communicatively.
- Able to take the initiative to solve or improve problems and situations proactively without needing supervision.
- Able to manage time to accomplish tasks efficiently and effectively (e.g., multi-task).
