Operations Manager - Portable Sanitation Services

Location: Saukville, WI
Salary: $76,000–$80,000 per year
Full-Time | In-Person

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Portable Sanitation Services division. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for an operations professional with experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, fleet management, field service, or portable sanitation. If you enjoy leading teams, improving processes, and driving operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily portable sanitation operations, including field service, dispatch, fleet, yard, and service teams.
Manage equipment readiness, inventory, staging, cleaning, and organization of portable sanitation equipment.
Coordinate deliveries, pickups, special events, route planning, and emergency service requests.
Partner with mechanics to prioritize preventative maintenance, repairs, and fleet readiness.
Lead, coach, and develop drivers, technicians, and yard personnel.
Improve route efficiency, labor utilization, equipment uptime, and overall productivity.
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards.
Assist with customer service recovery, field operations, dispatch support, and deliveries as business needs require.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in operations, logistics, transportation, field service, portable sanitation , waste services, or a related industry.
Experience managing drivers, technicians, field crews, or service teams.
Strong dispatch, routing, and operational planning experience.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Mechanical aptitude with fleet, trucks, trailers, or heavy equipment.
Valid driver's license.
Comfortable using routing software, spreadsheets, and operational technology.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in portable sanitation, waste management, environmental services, construction support, trucking, logistics, rental equipment, or field service.
Experience with fleet maintenance or preventative maintenance programs.
CDL Class B license (or willingness to obtain one).
Experience using Routeware or similar routing/dispatch software.
Familiarity with DOT, OSHA, environmental, and fleet safety regulations.
