Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure Platform - San Francisco, CA - $250K-$350K

Location: San Francisco, CA

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Overview:

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale the core infrastructure powering next-generation AI systems. This role focuses on designing distributed systems, data pipelines, platform infrastructure, and developer tools that support large-scale AI workloads and experimentation.

You'll work closely with engineering leadership to build highly scalable, reliable systems that serve as the foundation for critical products and AI research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and build scalable platform infrastructure and distributed systems

Develop high-throughput data pipelines and asynchronous processing systems

Create reusable APIs and infrastructure services used across engineering teams

Improve system reliability, observability, monitoring, and fault tolerance

Support large-scale data generation, evaluation, and workflow orchestration systems

Help define architecture, infrastructure standards, and engineering best practices

Requirements:

5+ years of experience building distributed systems or platform infrastructure

Strong Python and/or JavaScript (Node.js) experience

Experience with AWS or GCP cloud environments

Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub, or similar event-driven systems

Experience supporting high-volume data pipelines and production systems

Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, and performance engineering

Experience owning production systems at scale

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience building internal developer platforms

Experience with large-scale data processing systems

AI infrastructure, ML platforms, or LLM evaluation experience

Startup or high-growth technology company experience

Workflow orchestration or human-in-the-loop systems experience

Compensation & Benefits:

Base Salary: $250,000-$350,000

Employment Type: Full-Time
