Sales Estimator

Job Summary:

Support Sales (a.k.a. Business Development) team on new RFQ opportunities. Is also responsible for preparing quotes when requested, for existing customer base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in weekly Sales staff meetings.
• Work directly with people of all levels both internally and externally to gather information for quotes.
• Review pricing for existing programs and requote as needed. Review all components of the manufacturing process and alert management team of concerns.
• Be responsive to customer needs and follow through on all aspects of customer requests, both written and verbal.
• Prepare quote package for management review and, upon approval, arrange for quote to be sent to customer.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Process quotes from Program Management overflow.
• When requested, may work on special projects and various related assignments.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
• Enter values into the Master Quote Log as appropriate.

Education, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Business/Technical or equivalent in education and experience.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Must be a proficient communicator and listener.
• Need to have excellent relationship-building skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organization skills.
• Must be familiar with computers and computer software.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
