Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with required outpatient experience and an active PT license (if applicable) for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Setting is primarily outpatient with some acute care within a Rehabilitation Services department
• Located within a 47-bed acute inpatient facility offering 24/7 emergency care, surgical services, imaging, and maternity care
• Day shift schedule: 8am-5:30pm Monday through Thursday, and 8am-12pm on Friday
• No weekend shifts required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active PT license required if applicable
• Required outpatient physical therapy experience
• Active BLS certification (AHA) required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year, pertinent to physical therapy specialty required for consideration
• Two completed Supervisory Reference Forms within the last two years required for consideration
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility for consideration

Additional Information

• Delegates responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides
• Evaluates patient function through formal and informal testing of skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status
• Develops and updates goal-specific treatment plans based on assessment data and patient progress
• Coordinates treatment schedules with patients, families, and clinical support staff
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatment rationale, and care alternatives
• Business casual dress code
• No more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
